The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Hounslow North, supports the Government\u2019s action to root out extremism. Mr Zia Qureshi President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the Hounslow North said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAny genuine\nattempt to curb extremism is to be welcomed. No true Muslim could contemplate\nacting against the laws of the land and so if he or she does, then strict law\nenforcement in such cases is necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cllr Hanif\nKhan, a member of the Ahmadiyya community said: \u201cHowever, we do not agree that\nthe term \u2018Islamic extremism\u2019 should be used in this context and is in fact\nmisused by the media and by politicians. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community\nconsiders terms that seek to link Islam with extremism or terrorism to be\nentirely wrong. This falsely associates the peaceful religion with evil acts of\nextremists and is entirely unhelpful and counterproductive.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRadicalisation\nby ISIL or anyone else needs a collective response. Families have a role to\nplay in ensuring that their youth remain active citizens, faith leaders have a\nrole to guide people to peace and social harmony and governments and media need\nto ensure that moderate voices are given a platform to present the true\npeaceful message of Islam.\u00a0Governments must also promote and uphold\njustice in international affairs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr Zaheer Khan President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the Hounslow South said: The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has been actively engaged in spreading the peaceful message of Islam for more than 125 years. Its Khalifa (Caliph),\u00a0His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad)\u00a0who is the London-based worldwide\u00a0spiritual leader of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, has repeatedly condemned all forms of extremism.\u00a0 Ahmadi Muslims, whose work the Prime Minister has described as \u2018true faith in action\u2019 have always been engaged from a young age to promote Islam\u2019s values of loyalty, equality, freedom, respect and peace.
