Hanif and his next short term steps

Hanif and his next short term steps

After the local elections in May 2022, camera, lights, sound, and action are something I have been saying a lot. Video-Shoot Productions takes me worldwide, from Africa, Europe and Japan—filming for charities, companies and myself. Sometimes at beautiful remote locations.

Before May the 5th, 2022, I was a Labour Councillor for eight years and six years on the front bench, and since then, it has been a roller coaster. I intend to stay in politics, but time will tell how that will play out. I still get many calls from residents asking for help, and I politely pass their requests on to relevant talented Labour councillors.

My values are still the same, such as building on the slogan, “Love for All, Hatred for None”. I very much want to see an end to extremism, discrimination, and racism. And live in a society where equal opportunities exist all over. I still experience and see it today.

Active travel, the community’s health, walking and cycling will always be a passion; the future depends on it. The levelling programme needs genuine commitment and speed if it is going to achieve its timely goal.

Unfortunately, with the current Conservative Government, we are in a catastrophe and can’t see how we will come out of the cost of living crisis.

I have built some cherished friendships and love for people, particularly in Hounslow, where I stood as a councillor for eight years. I have campaigned and canvassed effectively across the borough by using social media and implementing action for change. As a Radio and TV presenter and a short video/film producer, I will be a voice for the community and provide a platform to voice their work. I will continue this, and if anyone wants to raise an issue, especially around the cost of living, discrimination or something good in the community.

We are all staying in touch. I am still here as your friend, colleague and comrade, and I will continue to post and share my thoughts and community projects.
